First Aid: Responding to Emergencies

Learn the skills necessary to respond to emergency situations and discover how practicing a healthy lifestyle can help prevent injury and sudden illness. You’ll also be trained to make first aid decisions and provide care for a wide variety of emergencies until professional medical help arrives. You must attend both days to receive certification. This course fulfills the First Aid requirement for New York State camp counselors. You may sign up for an optional one-hour module on administration of an Epinephrine Auto-Injector for camp counselors following the second day of class.
